What We Bend

  • Adira 180-ton press brake — heavy-duty capacity handles thick plate as well as thin sheet in a single machine
  • Aluminum, stainless, and steel — marine-grade alloys and structural steel, from thin sheet to thick plate
  • Tight tolerance bends — CNC back gauge holds angles and flange dimensions consistently part to part
  • Complex multi-bend profiles — channels, Z-sections, hat sections, box profiles — multiple bends in one setup
  • CNC-controlled accuracy — programmed bend sequences eliminate manual error on repeat parts
  • In-house tooling — broad tooling library for V-dies, acute angles, and offset bends without special-order delays

Why DolFab for Bending

Cut and Bend in One Shop
We cut your blanks on the waterjet or shear, then bend them immediately — no transport between vendors, no lead time stacking.
Lloyds, ABS & USCG, Certified Shop
Bent components for Lloyds, ABS & USCG certified assemblies — documentation maintained from blank to finished weldment.
45+ Years Experience
We know how marine alloys spring back, how stainless work-hardens, and how to get the bend right the first time.

Press Brake Bending FAQ

What press brake do you have?

We have an Adira 180-ton CNC press brake with 10-foot bending length. The CNC back gauge and crowning system allow precise repeatability on complex multi-step bends — essential for fitted panels and structural components.

What materials can be bent?

Aluminum (all common marine alloys), stainless steel, mild steel, and brass. We account for spring-back in the tooling setup — particularly important for 5052 and 6061 aluminum which has higher spring-back than steel.

Can you bend to exact OEM specifications for replacement panels?

Yes. We can reverse-engineer bend geometry from existing panels (using our 3D scanner) or work from OEM drawings. The CNC back gauge allows us to hit tight tolerances on repeated bends across long panels.

Do you program bends from CAD files?

Yes. We program press brake sequences from DXF/DWG files. For complex formed parts, we use the CAD data to determine bend sequence, punch radius, and die selection to achieve the correct geometry without cracking the material.
