Project Overview
A precision-bent and anodized aluminum roll cage demonstrating DolFab's tube bending and TIG welding capabilities at their finest. Roll cages demand both structural strength and visual perfection — every tube must flow smoothly while meeting safety specifications.
The Challenge
Roll cage tubing must follow compound curves while maintaining consistent wall thickness through each bend. Over-bending causes wrinkles and thin spots that compromise strength. The final product needed a show-quality anodized finish, which means every weld and surface imperfection would be visible.
The Solution
DolFab used mandrel bending to maintain tube wall integrity through every curve, then TIG-welded all joints with precision beads that required minimal post-weld finishing. The completed cage was prepped and sent for hard anodize — the welds and bends came back flawless. No filler, no putty, just clean metalwork that speaks for itself.
