Project Overview
Major hull refit and structural metalwork on an 80-foot Italian Baglietto motor yacht. Italian yacht engineering is among the best in the world — the refit work had to match that standard or exceed it.
The Challenge
Baglietto yachts are built with tight tolerances and Italian craftsmanship standards. The refit required matching existing hull geometry perfectly while replacing corroded structural members. Any visible weld had to be blended and finished to a level that maintained the yacht's premium appearance.
The Solution
DolFab's welders matched the original Baglietto construction quality throughout the refit. Structural members were templated from the originals, fabricated in marine aluminum, and installed with welds that were ground, blended, and polished to match surrounding surfaces. The hull geometry was verified with optical measurement at each stage. The captain signed off on the work without a single punch-list item.
