Project Overview
A custom radar arch and rocket launcher fabricated for a Blue Wave vessel in Pompano Beach, FL. Radar arches serve a dual purpose — mounting electronics up high for better range, and looking great doing it.
The Challenge
The Blue Wave needed a radar arch that could support a heavy radar dome and satellite antenna at the top while maintaining the boat's clean profile. The arch also needed to integrate a rocket launcher (rod storage) without adding visual clutter. Standard off-the-shelf arches were either too flimsy for the electronics load or too bulky for the boat's proportions.
The Solution
DolFab custom-designed the arch to match the Blue Wave's sheer line and transom angle. The main tubes are large enough diameter to handle the electronics load with zero flex, while the rocket launcher tubes are sized for offshore rod storage. All connections are fully welded — no set screws or clamps to corrode. The arch was polished to a satin finish that complements the boat's gel coat. Installed dockside in Pompano Beach.
