Project Overview
A complete structural and cosmetic refit on a classic Burger motor yacht — hull repairs, stainless brightwork replacement, and custom hardware fabrication. Burger yachts are American classics, and this one deserved a restoration that honored its heritage.
The Challenge
Classic Burger yachts have design features that modern builders don't replicate. Replacement parts don't exist off the shelf. Every piece of hardware, every section of railing, every trim piece had to be reverse-engineered and fabricated from scratch to match the original design language.
The Solution
DolFab templated every original piece before removal, documenting profiles, curves, and mounting points. New components were fabricated in matching materials — stainless brightwork, aluminum structural pieces, custom bronze and stainless hardware. Where originals were available for comparison, DolFab matched them exactly. Where they weren't, the team worked from historical photos and the vessel's original drawings.
