Project Overview
A custom-engineered davit and lifting system fabricated for the Miami Dade College Aquatic Center. This commercial project took DolFab beyond marine vessels into architectural metalwork — same precision, different application.
The Challenge
The aquatic center needed a lifting system that could safely handle heavy pool equipment while meeting strict building codes and ADA compliance requirements. Standard off-the-shelf davits didn't fit the facility's unique layout and load specifications.
The Solution
DolFab engineered a custom davit system from structural stainless steel, designed for the specific load ratings and reach distances required. Every weld was inspected to commercial structural standards. The system was fabricated in our Fort Lauderdale shop, then installed on-site with certified rigging. It's been in continuous service since installation.
