Custom center console T-top with integrated electronics
Project Overview
A custom-fabricated T-top for a 2013 Scout 175SF center console. Designed to replace the factory unit with a stronger, cleaner structure that integrates electronics mounts, LED lighting, and rod holders — all from polished aluminum tubing.
The Challenge
The Scout 175SF is a compact center console, so the T-top had to provide maximum shade coverage without adding excessive weight or blocking sightlines. The customer wanted integrated electronics mounts and LED spreader lights without exposed wiring or bolt-on accessories.
The Solution
DolFab designed a low-profile T-top frame from 1.5-inch polished aluminum tubing with internal wire chases for clean cable routing. Electronics mounts were welded directly into the frame. Rod holders and grab rails were integrated into the aft supports. The final unit weighs less than the factory T-top while providing 15% more shade area.
