330' Superyacht Nika D
Engine room fabrication on a 330-foot superyacht
Project Overview
Stainless steel engine room fabrication and diamond plate flooring on one of the largest superyachts to pass through Fort Lauderdale. At 330 feet, the Nika D demanded fabrication work at a scale few shops can handle — both in physical size and quality standards.
The Challenge
Superyacht engine rooms are cramped, hot, and filled with existing systems that can't be disturbed. Every piece had to be templated on-site, fabricated in our shop to exact dimensions, then installed with zero tolerance for misfit. The diamond plate flooring had to drain properly, resist vibration fatigue, and look immaculate for survey.
The Solution
DolFab's team spent weeks templating every surface and obstruction in the engine room. All panels were CNC-cut from 316L stainless diamond plate, deburred, and test-fitted before final installation. Structural supports were welded to existing framing with full-penetration welds. The job passed classification survey on first inspection — no callbacks.
