Best for aluminum-hulled superyachts — eliminates galvanic corrosion risk
Lower weight — significant at fuel capacities of 5,000–50,000+ gallons
ABYC-preferred material for gasoline service tanks
Alloys: 5086 (marine structural) or 5052 (forming-intensive shapes)
Stainless — When Specified or Required
For steel-hulled superyachts — avoids galvanic pairing with aluminum tanks
Better for visible engine room installations where aesthetics matter
Day tanks and header tanks where easy inspection is required
Grade: 316L marine stainless — more corrosion-resistant than 304 in marine environments

What fuel tank services do you offer for large vessels?

We offer custom integral fuel tank fabrication, tank replacement, inspection and repair, and baffle installation for superyachts and large commercial vessels. All work is ABYC H-24 (gasoline) and H-33 (diesel) compliant, Lloyds, ABS & USCG certified.

Do you provide engineering drawings for fuel tanks?

Yes. Custom fuel tank projects include full engineering drawings with material specifications, weld procedures, and pressure test requirements. Drawings are submitted for owner/manager approval before fabrication begins.

How do you handle fuel tank replacement on an existing vessel?

We start with on-site measurement of the existing tank or engine room space. Engineering drawings are prepared, approved, then fabrication proceeds in our shop. Installation is done on-vessel, followed by pressure test and commissioning.

Can you handle both aluminum and stainless fuel tanks?

Yes. We fabricate in both 5052-H32 aluminum alloy (standard marine fuel tank material) and 316L stainless steel (for specialized applications). Material selection depends on the fuel type, tank location, and classification requirements.
